A two-part, scripted podcast following two friends as they navigate the end of the world.
A sound walk that traces the east side of Roosevelt Island. Start anywhere on the Roosevelt Island Greenway, just make sure you can see the water.
This project was created for my Digital Sound Design Workshop class- we were given a video without any audio, and had to create the audio design with foley and royalty-free sound effects from an online library.
For this podcast story, I interview my Uncle Paul. I find myself often thinking about my experience of my twenties so far, and wondered what it was like for my older relatives. I wanted to explore stories of when they first felt individual freedom- and Paul immediately came to mind for this. Though he may have the affectionate title of 'Eeyore' in my family, he certainly has the best party stories.
This is a collage of myself and my two friends reading the poem Love Story by Gregory Spears and Tracy K. Smith. I was inspired to create this collage after seeing this poem sung over Julius Eastman's Symphony No. II at the New York Philharmonic. This symphony traced the rise and fall of a romantic relationship. Though music crescendoed beautifully, it seemed to fall apart under the singer at the end. This project was created for my Digital Sound Workshop.
For this project for my Digital Sound Workshop class, we was tasked with picking a photograph and creating sound design for it. I chose a film still from the Netflix show Arcane.
